The program started at 10:30 A.M with the national anthem, a welcome address was given by MPDI assistant coordinator Mrs G. Ogunbanwo, while she introduce MPDI program and the objectives of the to the invited guests and how they too can contribute. (Time spend 15 Mins.)
After the welcoming address a key note was deliver by Mrs. ADEDOKUN OMOLOLA from Ministry Of Women Affairs tagged: “Discovering your potentials as a women”, she talks about the problem women are facing after losing their love one, especially those that are NOT empowered with skilled acquisition or those that are NOT educated.
How can they discover the inbuilt potential in them? The section was charge with questions and answer.(Time spend 45 mins.)
Testimonies were share among the women that have benefited from MPDI empowerment programs.(Time spent 10 min)
The founder of MPDI also gave her speech about the initiative and explains the progress and achievement since the establishment of MPDI, which aims at empowering the women of circumstances with knowledge, finance and distributing of food stuffs to needy, which has really been supportive to rural women and widows so to create a better nation of peace. She also spoke about the progress and the revolving method since the launching of LOAN WITHOUT INTEREST in Dec 2016 and how this new project includes ADULT EDUCATION has benefited many women of circumstances to breaking some of their financial odds. Empowerment time: 18 women which included mostly widows, benefited the LOAN WITHOUT INTEREST to support their trades and every attendees went home with a package of food items and toiletries.
The event came to a close at about 1:20 P.M with a vote’s of Thanks by Barrister. Legal Dept..
